“I’m sure we will be safe tonight love and tomorrow my reinforcements will arrive―” he stopped speaking as he looked at her; her body was completely naked as she stood in front of him.
Before Adam could even think what to say, Laura spoke.
“Malcolm wanted to make sure I was properly cared for; he bequeathed me to you and you showed your acceptance by marrying me. I have unwrapped myself so you may see the gift within; I hope you approve. I loved my brother and will do nothing to diminish in any way what he had given you and will do everything in my power to fill your life with the happiness Malcolm anticipated for you; I want not only to please you for his sake but for mine also.”
Adam was speechless as he walked towards her but after enclosing her in his arms and feeling the silky satin of her skin; after running his hand through her hair and feathering kisses over her face and neck, he finally spoke.
“You please me immensely Laura, you’ve always pleased me and will continue to do so for as long as we both shall live; now however, I intend to please you.”
